The John A. Lomax Amphitheater was built at the end of Meridian Park in about two months in 2020. The amphitheater now serves as a gathering point for outdoors events including music, movies, and speakers.

Through the assistance of donors and countless volunteers, the John A. Lomax Amphitheater was constructed in 2020. Since its completion, the amphitheater has hosted musical acts, movie nights and speakers in the circle. The project is still seeking donations to cover building costs and for future upgrades.
